Chanakya neeti

CHANAKYA NEETI

Chanakya wanted to pass on his wisdom and experience to the next generation. He, therefore wrote his magnum opus, "KAUTILYA'S ARTHASHASTRA" greatest book ever written on leadership and good governance.

I AM SURE AFTER READING THIS BOOK YOU WILL BE INSPIRED TO GO THROUGH THE 6000 SUTRAS OF THE ARTHASHASTRA.

For author Chanakya neeti means those methods that one can use to get one's desired results or outcomes.

Chanakya neeti is the essence of various scriptures.

Never compromise your values for petty things. Stand up for your beliefs. Swami tejumayananda said "If you don't stand up for something you will fall for everything".

The takeaway from chanakya's mighty work is this: even if you are pandit in your profession, never try to impress anyone with your achievements. If someone requires your counsel, just share the essence of your life experience and knowledge in short, simple and practical advice.

Those who work for the welfare of others have a higher purpose in life. Using one's mind and heart for the benefit of others is the mark of great men. If you want to be a leader be willing to serve others.

Prepare for both good and bad results.

Have emotions but do not become emotional.

One should not lead one's life in darkness. Darkness is not just about the absence of light in the physical sense, the real darkness is IGNORANCE -- about the world and oneself.

One should be aware of the self. If you notice, your mind is seldom under your control. You struggle to understand your own feelings and emotions. As one is aware of the outside world, one should also have the understanding of the inner world -- the world of thoughts, feelings, and emotions. This is called self awareness.

When a person studies Chanakya neeti, he will understand the real truth of matter, THE REALITY OF LIFE. Also, he will be exposed to the thoughts of great people who wrote the other scriptures, because he had read many of them to compile his own.

Scriptures or holy text like Vedas, Shastra, Puranas etc are code of conduct. They teach us what is right and what is wrong, what to do and what not to do, how to behave and have not to behave. Study of scriptures will give you insights about the world.

It is important to read holy text on a daily basis. It should be a part of your routine, reading sacred literature is a daily mental, intellectual and spiritual exercise which should be done in the morning.

The scriptures are written by great men and women they were no ordinary people.

If you nurture a mind that is always complaining, you will still feel miserable in the most comfortable situation in life. The secret to living a content life is understanding that comfort and luxury do not bring happiness. It is your mindset and quality of thoughts that determine your quality of life. Those people who are grateful for what they have, experience peace and happiness throughout their lives.

If you want to achieve self realisation, service is the way forward.

Nature is a perfect provider; nature has everything we require. Our problem is that we ask for more than what we need and when we don't get it, we get upset.

You don't get what you desire but what you deserve.

Without faith nothing can be accomplished but with faith one can achieve the impossible.

What you see and have you perceive what you see define your personality. Different people see the same thing and still perceive differently . So is the case with God. Chanakya is giving an example using four types of people who sees God differently.

(i) Seeing god in the fire.

-- Those who are born first from the mother's womb and then attains a second birth as a spiritual person. For such a person who is initiated into daily rituals, he sees god in the sacred fire.

(ii) God in the heart.

-- For a sage, god is always in his heart. He does not look at the outside world to find God. He searches for god inside himself.

(iii) God is idols.

-- Many of us indulge in idol worship, such people limit themselves only to the form of God as represented by the idol. They keep fighting over one form of God or the other. Therefore Chanakya calls such people dim witted.

(iv) God is everywhere.

-- Wise are those who see god everywhere and in everything. If you develop this mindset, you will able to achieve the highest state of happiness on earth.

A good human being is one who is sensitive towards others, who's heart melts for those who are suffering.

The ability to love others without expecting anything in return is rare quality.

One is an evolved human being if one is able to connect with others and understand their problem and has love for all beings.

The less materialistic you are the more you'll cherish others aspect of life.

Life can be full of challenges, day in and day out. But if a person can keep his cool and get through his trail, he is already a winner.

A content man is the happiest in the world.

The greatest religion is compassion -- kindness towards others fellow beings. A man who has no empathy for another's plight will never find God. God is not in any idol or in any prayer hall. He is in each of us, so trust each other with compassion because when you treat other man right. You are worshipping God.

Nobody is perfect.

God doesn't dwell in man-made idols. It is when you add your faith to those figurines the real god awakens.

The mind is very tricky; just when you have fulfilled one desire, it comes up with another. You may have everything you want, & yet a new desire will always crop up. So all the comfortable things you already possess cannot guarantee you true happiness.

Destiny and your luck play major role in your life

Instead of building upon the desires of the mind, which are never ending, you should count your blessings. When you do that you will happily realise that you are blessed with many things other less fortunate people wish for. So be happy and be contended with what you have. Leave the rest to your destiny.

The Supreme Soul, the ultimate knowledge called atma vidya, has awakened in an enlightened person. He is free & not dependent on anything else for his happiness. He is content with himself.

Most complications in a person's life arises from that individuals ego. So shed your ego and see how uncomplicated life becomes then. In order to enjoy the happiness of being in the moment -- which is what matters the most. One need to have an ego free mind.

When one goes in search of pleasure, one becomes a slave to one's own mind and it's craving.

Chanakya says that if you manage to stay detached from your material possessions and relationships, you will be free. This state of indifference will liberate you. One can achieve this state by practicing meditation. Start by watching your thoughts drift by without pursing them. This will slowly help you to see the world in a different light, from the third person's point of view and not from participant's. Learn to control your mind. Don't be a slave to your thoughts. Instead, master your mind and make it work for your benefit.

Your mind Is your greatest friend and your worst enemy.

It's easy to get lost in the delusion of the mind. Chanakya also cautions that NOTHING BURNS MORE THAN ANGER. Anger is the root cause of all problems. It is good to remember lord Buddha's word here: "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else ; you are the one who gets burned."

True happiness is always inside you. The process of finding your inner happiness is a spiritual journey. At the end of that journey, you will be more aware of who you are and what make you happy.

Be perfect inside as well as outside Chanakya believed that if you conquer the mind, you will be able to conquer the world.

A person who constantly get angry will slowly succumb to death because his body and mind will suffer from the burning anger within, leading to many diseases.

If one wants to acquire anything, one should pursue knowledge. If a man wants to get wealthy, acquiring wisdom is the best way forward. Wealth always follows the wise, and finally, a person should be contended with what he has. However, the real beauty lies in a calm and composed mind.

You must read to acquire knowledge. Just gathering information is not enough. You should be able to apply that information in daily life to reap its benefits

The scriptures or Shastra are guide books, they advice on what to do and what to avoid. Chanakya advises to consult the scriptures before speaking up.

We are born alone and we also die alone. Life is always the journey of an individual. Even if there are many people going through the same event, there experiences will be different. Also, when we have to face the consequences of our actions, be it good or bad, we have to face them alone. So learn to enjoy your own company. After all, you are all you've got, in it's truest sense.

There is no guarantee that you will be born again. Life is a rare gift. Make good use of your life now. spend your life serving others.

According to Chanakya, all suffering arises from self-repression.

Our actions -- whether good or bad -- belong to us and follow us. No one can escape the consequence of one's actions by blaming others. As you saw, so shall you reap.

Karira is a type of tree, it's not the fault of the spring season that the karira doesn't bear leaves. Likewise, an owl cannot see in a daylight, but it's not the fault of the sun. Again, if the cuckoo bird cannot get raindrops directly into its mouth as soon as it rains, the cloud isn't to be blamed. The cuckoo can very well drink the water collected on the ground.

Try to live each day as if it is your last and you will find a new appreciation for time.

Experience and majority comes with time. Use your time wisely and respectfully, know that with time things change.

Pay attention to all the minute details while making a decision. Don't underestimate anyone or anything.

Where there is truth, their is trust. The power of truth in the words of Dalai Lama: "Try to remain truthful. The power of truth never declines. Force and violence maybe effective in the short run, but in the long run, it's truth that prevails."

Some people who take birth on earth are directly descended from heaven, says Chanakya. Such people are givers, they love to share everything they have. They are great philanthropists they are ready to share their wealth with others. They are also very humble this speak softly and sweetly to others, never rising their voice. The treat others with dignity.

One prominent characteristics of those who have taken birth on this planet from hell is anger.

One cannot trust those who never fulfill their promise.

If we do not put our got gifted intelligence to use, then there is no difference between us and animals.

People who are well educated have a good disposition. They know how to behave with others. They treat people with respect and kindness. Wise souls believe in penance and are charitable.

"The root of suffering is attachment", says Buddha. From love spring attachment and from attachments comes the fear of loss. As this fear grips a person, he is unable to unleash his full potential and conquer his goals.

People waste opportunities that come their way due to certain attachments. Because of this invisible restrains don't be afraid to move out of your comfort zones; a whole new world away you outside with its infinite possibilities and experiences. Take a chance, try your luck. In the end you will only regret the things you didn't do.

If a person gets to live only for second but that time is spend doing something good, like indulging in philanthropy or assisting someone in need, it is a life well lived. Life is precious. We all are intelligent human beings with infinite potential. So live every moment as it is the last and do be of help to others as much as possible.

People who only indulge in selfish activities are despised and uncared for by society.

A good man eats only after offering food to others first, and such a meal is secred.

Everything we seek in life is finally going to be taken away from us. So why run behind physical comfort and material wealth at all?

We chase these three things continuously in our lives -- Wealth, Women and Food.

Even if you amass wealth, share pleasurable moments with the opposite sex and gobble up tasty food, all of this will end one day. Happiness from this activities is not permanent. We all have to leave this earth one day or the other. People will never have enough of all these pleasures. Human desired is unappeasable.

People who are comfortable with what they have are always happy and peaceful.

There are many around the world who don't even have a roof to spend the night under or have a morsel to eat. How lucky you are compared to them.

Fear of loss can prevent a person from being happy. Accept the realities of life -- people die, things change and nobody can predict what is going to happen tomorrow. What's the point of worring about the things that are not in your control? once you accept this fact, you will be more at ease; you will be able to cherish every moment you spend with your loved ones

Chanakya gives us a three step process to gain happiness and attain salvation. They are SHRAYAN(listening), MANAN(thinking), NIDHIDHYSAN(meditation).

We get busy and forget about our somber and spiritual thoughts. Chanakya says not to forget those spiritual musing; retain them and slowly they will lead us to moksha.

Everyone want something and our wants and desires keep us going in search of that "something". No one is above desire.

Those who are the seekers of moksha should forsake worldly pleasures as if they are poison. Instead they should developed the values of forgiveness, mercy, purity of mind and truthfulness.

Many says that it is hard work, strategy and various other factors that bring in accomplishments in one's life, but in addition to these, empathy is an essential quality for achieving success.

When you work for others, others work for your benefit too.

Death hangs over the heads of the living, always. You will never know when you will leave this world. Accept the fact that death is always near you. However do not afraid of death. Instead, make your days count; start planning for all the things you want to accomplish before you die.

Mryutu ke samay keval karm reh jaate hai.

Start by sharing what you have with the less fortunate and you will receive more and more, be it wealth or goodwill, practice PHILANTHROPY.

Truth, knowledge, virtue, compassion, peace and forgiveness. Keep this six as kinsmen.

You may feel that you do not have enough talent and resources to accomplish your goals. However, according to Chanakya, if you invoke your inner powers you can achieve anything you want to.

Count your blessings. One can wish for many things but only a few people can get what they wish for.

The ability to enjoy life and share it with others is not something to be taken for granted.

You should carry on doing good work. Chanakya points out here three things to do that will add value in every birth you take:

(i) Charity: One should share wealth with others. Holding wealth doesn't help in your karmic journey. Give it away and reap the benefits in this life and in others.

(ii) Learning: One must study the scriptures and learn spiritual values. This will help one evolve from a human being into a spiritual being.

(iii) Austerity: Through self -- control and living without over indulgences, one will be able to go futher, deeper in one's inner journey.

Everything is subject to change. So what is permanent among the impermanant? what is changeless in change? one has to develop the quality of Vivek (ability to discriminate) to understand this difference.

Why not make the best of what you have when you have it. Later there is no regretting the time lost which you could have spend with those you love.

We are used to worry. But what we should be doing is thinking. (why worry over small things in life when you can focus on thinking about higher things?)

One moment you could be alive and the next dead. Nothing is permanent.

While change is the only constant, there is only one thing that is permanent -- Piety. Only qualities stays with a person for long, not people or material things. (qualities like compassion, sensitive, sincerity, honesty integrity.)

Chanakya talk about certain qualities affect our lives. He is giving us four examples.

(i) Charity put an end to poverty: One has to give to become rich. When one develops the quality of Charity, poverty vanishes from one's life.

(ii) Righteousness triumphs misery: He advices us to remain humble during bad times. When you practice gratitude, you develop humility and goddess.

(iii) Knowledge effaces ignorance

(iv) Faith over fear.

According to Indian Vedic literature, we have four goals -- PURUSHARTHA or the object of human pursuit -- to achieve in life. they are

--- DHARMA (Right conduct)

--- ARTHA (wealth)

--- KAMA (gratification)

--- MOKSHA (liberation)

only if we attained all the four in our lifetime we can say we have lived a complete life.

One should not forget the importance of pleasing, HEALING WORDS. words can transform people -- break them or make them -- So choose your words carefully. Be the person who speaks to inspire and not belittle.

Use gentle words with people and they will in returns speak gentle to you. So be wise choose what is important to survive in the long run.

The world can be harsh. Not all events in life makes us happy. Chanakya compare the world to a bitter tree. however, he says this bitter tree has two sweet fruits -- pleasant wise words and the company of good people.

You should choose your friends very carefully.

If one is fortunate enough to have some extra dough, use it to help others who aren't as lucky.

A person's greatness is not measured in terms of his positions. A person becomes great because of his character, because of his moral values and behaviour.

Like the drop of water falling slowly and steadily fill the pitcher, knowledge virtue and wealth are gather in a similar way.

According to Upanishad, ANNAM BRAHMA -- FOOD IS GOD.

A silent person is more respected than a chatterbox, and his opinion will be valued in time.

Grive not for the past because you have no control over it. Better to learn from your mistakes and move on. In the same way stop worry about the future. It is not in your control.

The wise know only the present matters because it is the moment for action.

Along with reading books, go out and explore the world to expand your mind and gain practical wisdom.

One should avoid excess of everything. You need to practice living a life of moderation, a life of balance.

The kind of actions you perform determine the quality of results you get.

You can learn from the experience of others, you only need to observe closely. So try to improve your mind through yours as well as others experience.

Always think of pros and cons of a particular activity and only when convinced about the results, go ahead with it.

ACQUIRING SELF CONTROL IS ONLY POSSIBLE IF YOU GAIN CONTROL OVER YOUR SENSES.

Save for tomorrow. The one who is financially well off is free to chase other goals. Otherwise, one will always be in race to just survive.

Everything we see, hear and think becomes a part of us. So be mindful of what your senses perceive and your mind processes.

Spend within your limits.

Pay attention to the little things you do and say to your partner because they matter.

Books are stepping stones to knowledge. But books themselves are not enough. You need to understand, think and analyse what you read and only then you will gain the benefit of knowledge.

Different people perceive the same object or subject differently.

A person who is arrogant cannot discriminate between right and wrong. So keep away from arrogance and lust; use your intelligency to choose what is best for you.

When you are in a group, you should know when to speak up and when to listen to others.

Who you are matter more than what you do. It is the persons intention that matters rather than the act itself.

Knowledge is useful only if one can put it into practice.

Intelligent people learn from their mistakes.

Poverty is not a permanent state; it can be overcome with courage. A good character is more valuable then good looks.

A virtuous person is respected everywhere. Money will come and go, but virtues stay on with the person forever.

One can learn so much about a person just by observing him.

Practice is the very foundation of learning. A noble person is known by his goodness. His acts and deeds make him noble.

A prudent person is one who carefully plans out his actions. He takes into account the impact of his action on his every move.

What is real power? It is ability to think, says Chanakya.

Those who have tremendous will power can achieve anything.

Nobody will behave rudely to a person who is pleasant and soft spoken. An agreeable personality draws friends and acquaintances, not enemies.

IF YOU HAVE CLEAR CONSCIENCE, THERE IS NO NEED FOR YOU TO GO ON A PILGRIMAGE.

If you betrayed someone who trusts you, it is the meanest act you can commit.

Never stop learning, even in your old age.

One's speech should suit the occasion one is a part of. Be mindful of where you are and who you are with before stating what is in your mind.

People lose respect quickly for those who behave crudely.

Never direct your anger at someone more powerful than you are; you will come to regret it.

BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.

It is said that the process of learning Sanskrit refines one's thinking. Sanskrit words produce vibrations of sound that resonates strongly.

The more language one know's, the more versatile one becomes.

Knowledge is valued around the world. Aim to be a scholar. Wealth doesn't guarantee respect but knowledge certainly does.

Strong character, which is essential for a good personality, develops only with education/knowledge.

With the help of his intelligence, a scholar can bail himself out of the trickiest of situation.

Ignorance propels desire. The one who is truly learned know's he didn't compete with anyone and is secure in his surroundings. So in short, in order to feel content, you have to expand your mind.

ANYBODY WHO HAS THOUGHT YOU EVEN A LITTLE BIT SHOULD BE GIVEN DUE RESPECT.

Remember that there is strength in numbers, so don't forget to ask for help when in need.

The scriptures are countless, knowledge is in abundance, time is short, many a hindrance. So choose your pick wisely.

Chanakya advice people to be like swan and focus only on the necessary and avoid the trivial.

What has to be done must be done.

Don't do anything half heartedly. Put your entire being into your work. In this way, you will inspire those around you and make you a good leader.

A WISE MAN IS ONE WHO KEEPS HIS SENSE UNDER CONTROL.

Observation is a good administrative quality.

Wake up early and get ahead in life.

Money earned sinfully will disappear sooner or later, making one poorer than before.

SAVE MONEY.

Gaurd your savings, let it grow and give you return on your investments.

It is crucial to start saving money at a young age. It should not be wasted.

Whatever you donate will be returned to you in abundance. However, do not expect anything in return while doing charity. Remember that your reward may not be up to you to choose; it will be decided by the universe.

Give, give and give -- this is the advice of the wise. Do not hoard wealth.

Be generous to your relatives and take care of them. You should be compassionate to your servants and helpers.

According to chanakya, a person who has master the art of handling every type of personality is sure to succeed in this world.

You should only enjoy the fruit you have earned through your hardwork.

ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TREAT ALL BEINGS AS YOU DO YOURSELF. TRY TO SEE YOURSELF IN OTHERS; TREAT THEIR PAINS AND PLEASURE AS YOUR OWN. YOU ARE THEN AT A HIGHER LEVEL OF SPIRITUALITY.

Understand people well before judging them. You may not know what kind of difficulties they are experiencing in their life.

What use is talking much, by good work only one gets honoured.

Chanakya list three ways in which one can raise children - keeping an eye on them, giving them your full attention and showering them with affection.

Fondle the child for 5 years, for next 10 teach him discipline, treat him as a friend from 16th year onwards.

--- What use is regretting things that you could have done better.

--- Choose the company of Nobel people.

--- Perform many good deeds as you can.

Choose your partner carefully.

Avoid choosing an attractive spouse if he or she belongs to a family with poor values.

Social affairs, health fear, shame, kindness, and liberality. Where this five are not found, stay away from that society.

Avoid the person who is sweet in front of you but tries to hurm you behind your back, such double-faced, deceitful people are never to be trusted.

It's better to give up than to live in disgrace. When you give up something, you will no doubt be pained. However, it is better to endure temporary pain then to suffer forever.

Poor people want to money, the middle class wishes money and respect but noble man want honour. Such people considered dignity their real wealth and don't compromise it.

What is the yardstick of success? it is praise from others.

Chanakya's tip on how to win over the enemy: speak to them lovingly, it is better to seduce the enemy then to fight him directly. Use your brain instead of weapons to win over those who are against you.

It's best to keep a safe distance from certain people. Being too close is harmful but indifference is not useful either. The best way to deal with such people is by maintaining a distance.

The one who betrays his people is never trusted again, not even in a new camp. Since he has already showed his true colors, his new friends will always be wary of his loyalty.

It is not important how much money you have earned. What counts is how much money you have saved.

Fear is the state of mind. If we can win over our mind, we can win over fear too.

Search for the source of your fear.

Deal cautiously with this four: fire, water, women and fools.

He is considered powerful whom other people obey. Those who don't have this control over others are powerless.

It is better to be an achiever and influence others than be a nobody.

When one meets a sage, one gets purified instantly. It is like going to a place of pilgrimage. Even visiting a holy place is not comparable to meeting a living saint.

What you find depends on where you are looking.

Certain valuable things are not easy to find.

According to chanakya, those who don't treat their surprise guest well are of base character.

We must use pleasing words, there is no death of sweet words. No one likes to criticized. Praise is welcome. One must know that positive words are pleasing in nature.

If one speaks without thinking, one is nothing but a fool.

Words hurt more than weapons. Once spoken, harsh words can only be forgiven, not forgetting.

Learn how to behave in public.

Learn from your surroundings, the world is your school.

One should focus on quality in life. It is better not to have something rather than compromise on poor quality.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Those things that are harmful to you should be avoided at all cost. Otherwise they will steal your peace of mind and put you in troublesome situations.

Family members live together in the same house for a long time. But at some point, some members go their own way. This happens in every family, so don't feel pained about it. Move on with your life.

It is better to be silent than make loud, unpleasant voices. Talk only when it is appropriate.

Not to use your precious, god given voice to say hurtful things. Instead use your ability to speak up for the greater good.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT, YOUR CHILDREN ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

It is only with the help of a support system does one become successful.

TAKE ACTION.

Nothing is perfect or permanent in life. One has lived a full life only when one has balanced the good with the bad.

When you are independent, you are respected.

A secret shared with a gossip monger spreads like wildfire. Never share your secrets with unreliable people.

One only envies what one doesn't have and forgets about what one does have.

Two person are never the same in their disposition.

Chanakya inspires us to be the best in whatever we do.

Flour is 10 times more nutritions than corn,

But milk is 10 times better than flour,

Black gram is 10 times better than milk,

And still ghee is ten times better.

Health is wealth, only if you eat healthy you will live long.

A strong body houses a healthy mind. Taking care of your body is of utmost important. Know what to eat and what to avoid. TREAT YOUR BODY LIKE A TEMPLE.

Inlude ghee in your diet.

The self realised soul is not attracted to external and material pleasures for he has found joy within himself.

Every problem has an antidote; you only have to look for it.

Don't cling to your past, move on with your life.

Too much of anything is not good. Life is to be enjoyed in moderation. Moderation in everything is the key to living a successful life.

When circumstances change, the best strategy is to adapt rather than complain.

It is better to have one child who is useful than many insolent children.

Always remember that pain is a part of your life.

Nothing equals giving food and water in charity, no god is superior to one's own mother.

Blessing through good deeds, Wealth, food grains, one's guru's word and medicine, stock them up as much as possible as without them life becomes impossible.

Book based learning is of no use if it's not applied in real life. Without application, knowledge is worthless; it is mere theory.

If the powerful are humble, others respect them and adore them.

Knowledge is a friend when away from home.

Whether a man or woman, a sweet-tempered person is loved by all.

If you can be satisfied with what you have, nothing can upset you. Contentment is real happiness; can make people restless.

Practicing what is in the scriptures wrongly is poison, food is poison when undigested

Where one find no place for respect, livelihood, kinsmen, education. That place is not fit for habitation.

Every human being has a purpose, find your purpose and work towards your goal.

The best type of education is gained from people and places, not from books.

A short lived son is better than a foolish son with long life.

It doesn't matter how long you live but how you live.

The one attached to home can't learn.

Surround yourself with positive people and you'll be happy too. Positivity breeds positivity, so choose your friends wisely.

Drunkards, fools, and illiterates, add to the earth's burden.

Laziness ruins knowledge.

Your knowledge is useful only if you are able to apply it to real life situations.

Certain circumstances are toxic to your existence; know what is good for you and what is not and at accordingly. To succeed in life, you need to know what kind of environment suits you best.

Chanakya advises us to use one's whole body to serve others.

Be conscious of the consequences of your action, specially there impact on others.

Generosity, austerity, courage, knowledge, politeness and wisdom.

Till this body is healthy and death is distant, perform the deeds beneficial to the soul, cause when death is at the door, what a man can do?

Don't be to quick to judge.

Don't waste a single day, says Chanakya. Your day on earth are limited, so use them wisely. Attend to your duties. Make your days count.

Try to learn something everyday.

Never help anyone expecting something in return. Also, never take credit for your kind gestures. If you do, there is no merit in your charity.

AN ACTION COMTEMPLATED IN THE MIND SHOULDN'T BE ADVERTISED BUT KEEP IT A SECRET LIKE A MANTRA AND REVEAL IT IN TIME.

Those who discovered secrets of others are evil.

Trust once lost is not easy to restore.

Be satisfied with this three: YOUR OWN WIFE, FOOD, and MONEY

and

relent not with this three: STUDY, MEDITATION, and CHARITY.

Work under someone who is better than you.

Once you stop learning you start dying.

Four people make an ideal travel team.

It's the giving of gifts that makes the hands gracious, not the bracelet.

He who shed shyness when dealing with money, in acquiring knowledge, in eating and in business, gains satisfaction.

It is not quantity but quality that matters most..

A true Brahmin is the one who is content with less in life. Such a person is a noble and realise soul.

Overeating is not healthy.

Cultivate a brilliant quality even though you have many imperfections.

Reconcile with the stronger. Prepare a plan to either defeat the enemy or befriend him.

How to control someone depend on what type of a person he is.

Remain CALM and gentle.

YOU MUST GUARD YOUR SECRETS FROM EVERYONE, EVEN FROM CLOSE FRIENDS. KEEP YOUR SECRETS CLOSE TO YOUR HEART. DON'T GIVE ANYONE THE POWER TO HURT YOU.

A WISE SHOULD KEEP ALL HIS PROBLEMS TO HIMSELF. Dealing which challenges is a part of being an adult.

Smart people maintain confidentiality in their life

Don't harm others but be ready to protect yourself.

Do not act mindlessly. If you do so, you will lose your reputation and become a laughing stock in society.

Don't abandon those who are loyal to you. Be faithful to your loves. This is the mark of a real man.

THE ONE WHO WANTS TO ENJOY A LIFE IMMERSED IN PLEASURE CANNOT ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE. AND THE ONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT LEARNING WON'T BE INTERESTED IN SENSELESS MARRYMAKING.

For people to take you seriously, you must first appear like you mean business.

Engage with righteous friends.

People who give importance to sense gratification should not bother with learning as they will not have that time or patience to undergo the hardships that make one wise.

A student must completely GIVE UP these eight:

--- LUST

--- ANGER

--- GREED

--- LOVE FOR FOOD

--- FLASHINESS

--- EXCESSIVE CURIOSITY

--- TOO MUCH SLEEP

--- TOO MUCH SERVILITY

AVOID SHOWING OFF. LEARN TO LIVE A SIMPLE LIFE, LIKE A SAGE.

Someone with pleased speech spreads joy and warmth wherever he goes. Everybody likes to be associated with pleasant personalities.

Excellence should not be a goal, it should be a path itself.

Knowledge of the scriptures and sacred writings of the great saints and sages will increase one's understanding of the world; they will make a person broad-minded.

Chanakya, after teaching us all his wisdom of Chanakya neeti, is directing us into the FIELD OF ACTION.

Our concept of spirituality is not about running away from the battle of life. In fact, our culture has created many man of action --- the true karma yogis.
